History and Culture #
The human presence in Rosinos de la Requejada dates back to the Iron Age, evidenced by several castros such as Cerro de Peña Castriello, Valleciudad and Peñas de la Cerca. During the Middle Ages, the town was repopulated by the monarchs of the Kingdom of León and later became part of the Lands of the Count of Benavente. In the 19th century, Rosinos was integrated into the province of Zamora.
